EVENT OVERVIEW
This intensive two-day symposium is designed to provide a comprehensive update on the latest advancements in the field. Highlights include combination therapies for Wet AMD, updates on diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, genetics, gene therapy, drug delivery systems, retinal imaging, pediatric retina, intraocular tumors, and the business of ophthalmology.
A special opening day program features a half-day hands-on, interactive wet lab and a half-day didactic session. Much of the didactic session on the first day will focus on the best practices of vitreoretinal medicine, covering topics such as risk management, clinical documentation and coding, and managing high-cost medical inventory.
Day two is intended to provide an update on the diagnosing and managing of vitreoretinal diseases, from both a medical as well as surgical standpoint. Emphasis will be placed on conditions that have seen recent developments. Didactic lectures and video presentations will be given, and cases will be discussed. Controversial issues will be addressed in a debate setting and panels.
